Jim Magruder began blogging in 2006 under the pseudonym “AnyIdiot.” By the beginning of 2009, AnyIdiot.org had [ever so briefly] racked up BlogNetNews.com’s rating as Most Influential Liberal Blog in South Carolina.

By the summer of 2009 Magruder was feeling the burn of work, family and health. Post-election euphoria had worn off, reality crept back in and the milktoast results of the health care battle finished him off. For a bit.

Jim lives in the Upstate of South Carolina with his wife, two teenagers in public school, two dogs, and one ornery cat. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Davidson College.
