Americans Should Walk a Mile In Iran’s Shoes

I’m no fan of Iran, but if Americans stopped for a second and reversed the roles, we might approach the relationship differently.

Image Iranian spies had instigated and funded a successful coup against the President Eisenhower in 1953 and replaced him with a brutal dictator. Imagine more recently they invaded and occupied Canada and Mexico, and now have tens of thousands of troops, tanks, missiles and bombers near our south and north borders, and 2-3 carrier battle groups parked in striking distance and able to cut off our main trade routes in days.

I’m thinking we’d be concerned for our survival and would be working feverishly 24/7 to develop a weapon to defend ourselves (not necessarily attack) this military 10x our size that has shown a willingness to invade countries (Iraq) on thin pretense.

How big would that green blotch be if those black dots were not around? So your solution to stabilize the middle east is to pull all US presence out and they will peacefully respect each other/borders, etc.

Iran with1 Nuclear weapon with a delivery system is much scarier than 10X more black dots

When do we ever learn? Our invasion of Iraq and decimation and disbanding of the Iraqi military opened the door for Iranian domination of the region. Our meddling and instigation of a coup against the elected leftist government in Iran in 1953 still poison’s our relationship today.

Iran wants nukes for defense. The US has yet to invade a nuclear power. How are Iranian nukes going to give them anymore dominant position than, say Israel, who already posses many nukes and delivery capability?

So how far are you willing to go to stop Iranian nukes? Missile strikes (a clear act of war)? Bombing runs? Boots on the ground? Who’s gonna pay for all that and the $6/gallon gas?
